Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Acceptance

By using Musicante you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The service

Musicante gives you tools to transpose chord charts, learn chords and harmony, and manage your own musical works. The free features have no time limit; Pro adds convenience features under the plan you choose. Musicante is provided by the individual developer named on its store listing.

Your content

Charts and tabs you create stay yours. By saving them you give us only the technical permission needed to store and display them back to you.

You agree not to store content that infringes other people's copyright - for example full copyrighted lyrics that you don't have rights to. Chord progressions themselves are not copyrightable, and the app's built-in catalog contains only factual data (titles, artists, keys, progressions) without lyrics.

The built-in song catalog is made of independent, simplified chord progressions. It is not official sheet music, includes no lyrics or melodies, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the artists or rights holders. Artist and song names are used only to identify the songs.

Our intellectual property

Musicante - its name, its logo and mascot (the Ottavio owl), its design, and its software - belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trademark. You're welcome to use the app, but you may not copy, clone, redistribute, resell, publicly host, or reverse-engineer it, or reuse its name, branding, or artwork, without our prior written permission. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Copyright complaints: if you believe something in Musicante infringes your rights, email musicante.support@gmail.com saying what it is and where you found it. We will review it promptly and remove it where needed.

Pro purchase

Pro is a single one-time purchase (non-consumable) that unlocks it forever - there is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. Payment is handled by Apple through your Apple ID on the App Store, or by Google through your Google account on Google Play; use "Restore Purchases" in Settings if you reinstall the app or move to a new device.

Refunds: because Pro is bought through Apple (or Google), refunds are handled by them under their own rules. On the App Store you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is wrong with Pro, email musicante.support@gmail.com and we will help. Your statutory consumer rights, including any right of withdrawal, are not affected; the stores' purchase terms explain how withdrawal and refunds work for digital content.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure, and you can enable two-factor authentication for extra protection. You can close your account at any time from Settings -> Privacy -> Delete my account.

Fair use

Don't abuse the service (no scraping, no attacks, no reselling of the catalog). We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Warranty & liability

The app is provided "as is". We work hard on accuracy, but chord data and suggestions are informational - trust your ears. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health, and your mandatory consumer rights stay unaffected.

Governing law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and the courts at your place of residence remain competent.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves; significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use means acceptance. Questions: musicante.support@gmail.com.
